    Saving Images

I have Fireworks and Pain Shop Pro 8, but say I have an image that’s 50 Kb and I edit it a little when I save it the size goes up to 2 MB.

Is they any way I can reduce the size without reducing the quality. Because the only way I can reduce the size is by compressing a JPEG image in PSP8 but the quality is not good?.

Can anyone show me the correct way to save JPEG’s so that they will be 50 Kb not MB’s.

Thanks in advance and sorry if I put this in the wrong forum.

Hi, open the image in fireworks, then under the file dropdown menu (topleft) select export preview (ctrl + shift + X)

in options tab select "JPEG" you can now mess about with the settings, make sure u check the preview box (this will show u what it looks like after being compressed)

fireworks is great at compressing images
