    ...starring everyone's favorite avatar....

Well here it is, I've used just about every flash trick I know of and pushed it to the limits, and as such, the visuals might bog down your computer a bit. Its an intro for a flash show with my avatar (sketch man), flat world. Right now I only have the projector files up, sorry if you perfer the swf files. Its not complete yet because a friend of mine is cutting the length of the song down so it will fit my estimated time. I want to know from you guys what you think works and what doesn't. Thanks.

Thats as far as I've done it up to this point, I just got the cut version of the song completed last night (my friend and I volleyed it back and forth until it was perfect). You should hear the amazing job he did cutting the song down from about seven minutes down to two minutes, and its completely seamless, like if it was made that way. More video to come soon.

hey, like what you have so far. are you taking constructive criticisms? well too bad if you're not, cuz i'm giving one out. i noticed that the character's head and body were static symbols in his walk cycle. i think that it totally detracts from the entire flow and style of the rest of the animation. if you made them "wobbly" order will be once again restored.

anyways... good work. i really enjoy these kinds of shorts.

The first time I made it, the entire character wobbled, but it didn't look right, but I probably did something wrong, so I'll probably go back and change him again.

I found that the music really went well with your style of animation.

Why make the head wobly when everything else in the animation is static.

youwza, that was really cool, that 3d drawn city looked sweet!

is that swift3d with some sort of special renderer or have you drawn that by hand?

tiny crit: the space part was kinda long perhaps, I amost thought it was a loop or something, mabye if you added some bigger planets that flash by or a galaxy it would make it more interesting to look at.

can't wait to see it finished

I'm in the limbo with that. Chances are I'll go with static for things that aren't moving.

For the city I modeled a massive city in swift, then rendered it in without fill. Then I went through frame by frame in flash tracing with the wobbly stamp. I for the space scene, I know what you're talking about, and I hate it, but the only thing is, if it were any shorter it would throw off the music stream. I've added the sun near the end and a lens flare along with it, but I'm still gonna have to toy with it a bit.

Thanks . I'm getting tremendous help from my friends too. One of my friends own a recording studio and I've got some pals who are actors, or the voice overs won't suck. Another friend of mine is helping me with the audio editing. I've probably mentioned before he managed to cut down the song length from over 6 mins to a little under 2, very impressive. I'm working on a story. I've written short stories in the past and won awards for them. And above all with everyones support here on fk, this might turn out to be something really great.
