    Newbie's Looping Problem

I've been playing around with Flash for a few hours and now, but I still haven't been able to get my background animation to loop continuosly, and have something else only play once. Either my whole 'movie' will loop, or it will only play once. I haven't been able to find any help on this, but that maybe because I haven't been looking it up under the right headings. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Edit: Ack! Sorry, I should have posted this under the newbie forum.

If you have your background animation in a movieclip it will run independently of the main timline.

Alright thanks, I was able to find a tutorial on how to convert the animation into a movie clip, but I don't know how to add the movie clip into a new layer in my main movie now.

Edit: Nevermind, problem solved! Thanks for the help

first welcome to the flash world!
by now you know how to create a mc,but if you want to use it in your main movie or any other movie/scene/file,you go to you'r libery(it is where all the mc/buttons/graphic/sound ect.you created are).
so now all you got to do is drag it from your libry to the place you want, and if there is a frame or a layer thet you want it to be at just mark the layer/frame.

    good luck!
