Movies/DVDs that you do not regret buying!?!

I have 40$ Gift Certificate to blockbuster, and tried to buy the Family Guy Volume 1, but dont i called 8 blockbuster locations and NONE OF THEM HAVE IT! so, i was wondering what DVDs you could get at blockbuster that you do not regret buying. Good movies i am saying. Like the movie Oceans 11, i watched so many times, and is a GREAT movie, but a really bad DVD, since there arent many special features...

I really want that family guy DVD, and i can get it for about 40 bux Canadian, but i wana use up my gift certificate, or should i wait for a movie to come out that is worth buying?

Fight club is definitely one of the best DVDs, either LOTR special editions, Royal Tanenbaums or Rushmore Criterion Collection are all good too

Run Lola Run, I watch it over and over, and you'll get it for $10 probably...

So buy it for your friends too...

Matrix and Matrix Reloaded. I bought Reloaded no more than two or three weeks ago, and I have had to have watched it twenty-five times, plus another fifty or so more of just the Smiths/Neo fight scene (well...a bit of an exaggeration, but...)

I really enjoy forgetting. When I first come to a place, I notice all the little details. I notice the way the sky looks. The color of white paper. The way people walk. Doorknobs. Everything. Then I get used to the place and I don't notice those things anymore. So only by forgetting can I see the place again as it really is.

Se7en - essential rainy night flick

Fight Club - A must have for any DVD player (enough action for a guy flick, enough Brad Pitt and Ed Norton for a chick flick - perfect!)

Heat - That Bank Robbery gone bad scene at the end will KILL your subwoofer and anger every neighbor in the 'hood

The Big Lebowski - Perhaps the smartest movie ever created. You bring the Vodka, I'll bring the Milk and Kahlua.

Steely Dan/Two Against Nature - The sound is absolutely incredible. Live Studio recording in full Dolby DTS 5.1. If you are looking for a background singer to sit on one side of you with a sax player on the other, then this is the DVD for you!

I must be the only person here that thought 28 days later was rubbish. The camera work was nice; however the story, the main character - I mean, the idiot couldn't fight in the beginning, he goes into a old gas station only to encounter a rabid kid - why in the hell would the idiot go into a dark store anyway? - the whole tunnel ordeal was a plot device... not exactly the smartest thing to do.

and above all... WHY NOT GET A FAST CAR!?

    </rant>

That movie was decent. But not worth a second look imho.

Forgot to mention the Big Lebowski as well.

Yeah but it wasnt American Gargbage - and even you have to admit some of the junk Hollywood churns out is just that!

I just thought it was refreshing to see an English film do so well

garbage is garbage... I don't give two ****s where it comes from. English or American or Martian.

It was a terrible movie by my standards.

jesus. is everything better because it has a brit origin?
