    Help! posting problem

    Is there a way that I can have my movie in a different folder than my html page?

    the movie is the actual page with buttons/actionscript

    Example:
    Say I have my movie hosted on a ftp server,
    (interactive movie)

    www.ftp.com/movie.swf

    and the page I want the movie to appear on is

    www.webpage.com/movie.html

    I was told something about .swf and .html files having to be in the same folder for them to work, but is there a way around it?

    The files don't have to be in the same folder.
    In the HTML page all you have to do is to change the

    Code:
    embed src="file.swf"
    to
    Code:
    embed src="full path of file"
    Bye!

    didn't work, the page just came up as a blank white screen that was the same size as the swf file

    heres the code
    <HTML>
    <HEAD>
    <meta http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1">
    <TITLE>eopage</TITLE>
    </HEAD>
    <BODY bgcolor="#FFFFFF">
    <OBJECT classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
    codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,0,0"
    WIDTH="800" HEIGHT="600" id="eopage" ALIGN="">
    <PARAM NAME=movie VALUE="eopage.swf"> <PARAM NAME=quality VALUE=high> <PARAM NAME=bgcolor VALUE=#FFFFFF> <EMBED src="eopage.swf" quality=high bgcolor=#FFFFFF WIDTH="800" HEIGHT="600" NAME="eopage" ALIGN=""
    TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash" PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></EMBED>
    </OBJECT>
    </BODY>
    </HTML>
    I changed the "eopage.swf"to the full url "http://www.hosting.com/flash/eopage.swf" and it just shows up as a white page.
    I can only get it to work when it's in the same folder as the html file, but I need to put the video on another site of mine that doesn't provide hosting for anything other than html.

    Hiya

    This part :

    "http://www.hosting.com/flash/eopage.swf"

    doesn't look right, unless you have the domain name of "hosting.com" - which I don't think you do. You should have a username in there somewhere. Check the URL and I'm sure you will see that it isn't pointing to the right location.
