Issues with Buttons and Draggable Movies

This may seem strange, and it's the first time I have ever seem this problem. What's happening is when you drag a movie over a button - say for example a floating pane, the button beneathe the pane is clickable.

This has really become an issue seeing that I use Flash for applicatin development, not the typical animated intros and so forth. I can offer you a sample if you wish or you can create your own easily enough...

Just drop a button on the stage, then on a layer above it make a movie where the top is a drag button...

Drag the movie so the display area is over the button and you will still see the hand show up when you are over the button beneathe...

I could really use some help with this - thanks in advance.

    Best regards,

    Spoke with Macromedia

I never call MM for help - and I did today, and was VERY PI**ED OFF with the answer...

Macromedia says this problem is a "feature"...

    Here is the official answer:

    http://www.macromedia.com/support/fl...e_hotspots.htm

The problem is simple, there is no answer - imagine you are using Fireworks and you have a few images cascaded. If you clicked on the front window and the window from the back popped into focus, that would get a little aggrevating.

I have found a way around the problem, but MM says it's been there since V4.0, you think they would have fixed it by now - but as usuall, if there is a way around a problem, it get's ignored.

I really think we should get on there case about this issue.
