love the feel, and of course the amazing transitions.
has the same effect that the old, newer version of rayoflight.net had before yasuto took it down.

anyone know what program and/or how these transitions were done?

    good old after effects.
The site is nice, but thats a long wait for a one second transition on each section. If the AE trend gets much bigger, we r gonna need 10mbps connections for every site.

    Image transitions are VERY cool.
    However...
    • Load times are long
    • The music constantly restarts
    • That old free FFF font is getting tiresome since it has become so ubiquitous (FFF Harmony IIRC)
    • The interface is simple and attracive, yet surprisingly uninteresting.

But, once again, I can't get over how cool the image transitions are

Nice and simple! Just started playing with after effects myself, and this is a good example of some nice stuff. Load time could have been reduced by making the image area half the size. It still would have had a great wow effect. I like it.

I am dabbling in AE now as well. Self-teaching or have you purchased a book? Just curious, as I'd like to know the best way to teach myself.

i think everyone is trying to find some decent after effects tuts, im hoping flshlvl can bring out some good uns.

    The site.

The wait was too long, i didn't even think the transitions were that great, certainly not worth the wait. Apart from that it was quite nice.

mr freak, i'm using helvetica....and as far as i know FFF didnt come up with that one
the music restarts because each section has its own unique loop. they are all similar, but def. different!! i guess some people arent noticing that.
and the interface is supposed to be simple and attractive, not interesting
glad you like my transitions though, thanks!

i didnt notice my site was posted again. thanks for checking it out everyone
yes, my load times are long, i could compress it a bit more, but i dont want to sacrafice quailty for an extra 3 seconds.
thanks to everyone else for the kind comments.

nice job overall but I think you should bear in mind that when people turn the music off it should be off no matter where they go on the site, having different loops for different sections is fine but I think when someone turns off the music they want it to stay off.

thanks for taking a look at my site aversion, and glad you liked it.
you are absolutley right about the stop thing. i should have done that in the first place. i got the impression though that mr freak thought the loop was just starting over for no reason, so thats what brought about my response.
again, thanks for taking the time to check my site out
