    SCROLLING Text

    I have a simple fla file that i want to
    create some scrolling text. i've allready
    made buttons for up and down but
    i cannot get the text to scroll. i keep getting syntax
    errors. is there something i'm missing?

    HELP!

    I tried opening this with flash MX and Flash MX 2004 and get message
    unexpected file extension... so not sure whats happening

    Scrolling attachment

    I've reattached it...
    its a simple file with an up and down button
    and a layer of text whihc i want to scroll...

    again a problem opening it....
    says unexpected file format...
    what version of flash are you using...
    I tried opening with both Flash MX and
    Flash MX 2004

    I am on a pc... perhaps the person posting is on a mac... sorry... should have asked that ? too

    For us PC users to be able to open a Mac .fla, it has to be zipped up. Then you can open it. It works without zipping the other way around but not from Mac to PC.

    Zip up your .fla! Many Mac users do it!

    Screen Capture

    Here is a screen grab of my FLA file.
    it is very simple so it cannot possibly be
    as hard as it seems. I have the text on one
    layer and the buttons on two other layers.
    i just want it to go up when i press the up arrow
    and down when i hit down...
