    Windows = 96 dpi ??

    Howdy all. I just read this http://www.proaxis.com/~ferris/docs/dpi-monitor.html

    Has anyone ever heard about this 96 dpi thing? Should I start designing in 96 dpi? I have been designing everything in 72 dpi. Can we get better quality?

    Any info or insight would be greatly appreciated.

    I dont think you have to worry. For Internet use almost all people make their graphics at 72 dpi ( or ppi ) .To my knowledge the only difference you will notice is the point size of text in html documents that will differ somewhat beteween platforms.

    That today even call a monitor 96 dpi or 72 dpi is useless, since there are no monitors that have either 96 or 72 dpi. Its impossible as you can have your monitor have different settings ( 800x600, 1024x768 and so on ) , and to complicate it , you also have 14,15,16,17 inch monitors and so on.
