DVD to MPEG coversion software

does anyone know of software that will convert a DVD to a readible format like mpeg? preferably for the MAC environment.


I need to pull clips from an existing DVD, I have Quicktime 6 pro but need to get it into a mpeg or Quicktime readible format first.
