    preloader not showing until 70%

I have made a preloader (in fact 2 completely diiferent preloaders) which doesn't seem to work.
It always starts at about 70%, then continues onwards, at which point my page works correctly.
I even tried a different version, which was a shell swf which loaded my main swf, which had exactly the same result.
I'm not loading any of the MCs to the stage thru script, they all sit on the stage on frame 1.
    Has anyone got any ideas?

Have U by any chance got any components in your Flash movie.
if yes it takes time to load these since all of them reside in your first frame.

unfortunately not, there actually isn't anything terribly complicated about it at all.

No attached movie clips and/or sounds with linkage set to export on the first frame in your Library? No embedded fonts?

If so, and unless it's just one single sound, you might want to have a look at this...
