text effect

I like this tect effect. How would go about achieving it in photoshop?

I'd probably just use the eraser tool with one of the many grunge brushes to achieve that look (use a moderate pressure setting). Maybe I'd duplicate the text layer and do all my work on the top text layer and once I was happy with its look - maybe I'd put a motion blur on the lower text layer.
