the flare was made with the flare shape tool in Illustrator 10. But all of the flares I make with that tool come out these colors. There must be a way to change the colors. It's Illustrator.

I tried many things to get the color changed.

Alright I don't have Illustrator, but seeing how your not getting any responses I thought I would try to lend a hand.

Apparently you can create a default flare or a custom one, though one reviewer reported not being able to preview the custom flares. Have you tried creating a custom flare? I also saw mentioned that each ring is a vector object. I would think that there would be some way to edit the individual parts. Are they grouped?

Here's a sillly question...have you tried looking through Illustrator's help files for information on using the flare tool?
