    my bloody valentine - loveless

ok, this has got to be one of the most incredible albums of ALL TIME!!!

i mean, i've always loved it, and bought it back when it came out. i've often mentioned it in 'greatest album threads', or 'if you were on a desserted island threads', etc, but dayum - this stuff is timeless. after watching lost in translation over the weekend, i had to dig it out. i've now been listening to it for 6 hours straight and it still sounds as good as ever...

anyway, if any of you youngen's missed out on this gem, you should check it out. i can't think of anything that sounds like this album - truely amazing....

Not heard em... well into my indie/alt stuff at the minute:

    Snow Patrol
    Franz Ferdinand
    Aqualung
    Jet
    Strokes
    ZeroSeven
    South
    Simple Kid
    Badly Drawn Boy
    Yeah Yeah Yeah's

And the like... What styles that album?

our 12 year old next door neighbor talked my wife into buying the jets. the album is OK, but i still like the single the best. the strokes or the hives are a better all around purchase if you are buying a full CD....

I've got em on now. I haven't listened to em in a while, but from what I remember, it was great.
The other day, I bought a box of animal crackers. On the side, it said "Do Not Eat if Seal is Broken". I opened the box and sure enough...

I was listening to them (My Bloody Valentine) 10 or 12 years ago, at the same time Belly and Frank Black (solo) were out. A very original sound, sometimes like the overlaid tracks are being played backwards.

That's not a great way to describe it, but I thought it was excellent.
