    controlling new opening windows

    Hello again!

Once again I have a problem.

On the site im building in flash, I have a series of thumbnails that I would liked to be viewed in a new window when they're clicked on.

The problem is that I have no idea how to do this.

Ideally I would like to have the new windows open at specific sizes in order to accommodate the exact size of the picture's to be viewed.

Also, can anyone provide details on opening just a plain looking window(eg - with no menu, and just the 'X' in the corner to close the window).

Any sort of help on this would be appreciated greatly.

    Cheers

    Hi,

There's a good tutorial on Actionscript.org Spawning external browser windows which explains exactly what you want to do.

    Hope it helps

    Im definately a newbie!

I've had a look at the link posted above and have read the tutorial, but cannot work out exactly what needs to be done!

What I am doing is copying the javascript code and pasting it into the <head> tags of the .htm page that contains my picture(dazedand confused1.htm, containing - dazedandconfused.jpg).

    Is this correct?

I am able to follow that I need to cut and paste the 'on release...' part onto my button within my flash movie but I am then unsure of how to fill in the code generator(located on the left of the Actionscript.org web page tutorial). Can anyone let me know exactly what I need to put into the 'URL:' box, and also into the 'name:' box. The window size I need is W320 x H500.

Like Craig Davivd asked of his lady "can you fill me in?".

If you need anymore clarirification let me know.
