HELP!!! dynamic text within a movie?

I am trying to put a dynamic text box within a movie and it won't appear. I'm not sure why. Is there a trick to making this work?

You have to embed the font if the movieclip uses alpha or is manipulated in some way.
Embedding the font also ensures that everyone will see your choice of typeface, although it costs a few extra kilobytes..

If you are dynamically assigning text to the box it can also be a path problem.

I fixed it! It was that I had a mask on the outer movie and that was preventing the dynamic text from coming through.
