if you can do this, i will eat my hat - in front of you!!

if you can recreate this effect of watching a comic strip by pressing the current frame to move it on to the next frame, I would be most impressed. can you create an FLA that does this?

I will wait now and see. Here IS a challenge

That's just moving a movie clip to pre-determined positions... Could even be done with tweens. Where's the challenge?

I would imagine it would be done with actionscript rather than tweens - I am drunk, so please excuse me oldnewbie.

Surfing the net drunk rules. I could make it for you as well...only if you promise to really eat your hat.

Actually I took another look and it doesn't matter where you click you always start at the first page and there is not back button. To do that, just put the entire comic strip picture in the flash movie. Make a series of keyframes where it is zoomed in to a different spot on each one. Then turn the comic strip into a movie clip that has an onPress function and counter that goes to the specific frame each time.

I like the feel of that but it needs a way to back up as well.
Maybe a simple < > next/back button would be just as effective?

How does this sound, you have a go, and i'll also have a go, then you can see my cartoon work, I actuallly sometimes work for the comic that this thread refers to in England.

How does that sound? I cant do it with actionscript, but will have a go as oldnewbie suggests with tweens.

Go on, have a go. i'm going to do it later, tomorrow.

    Mctittles,

Here is one of my cartoons which I did for the scottish audience so the accent might be a little difficult to undrstand for an American.

Perhaps you could do it with this?
