    Browser Windows Not Coming To Front Of .swf Files?????

    I am creating a .swf file to burn onto a CD that has links that open browser windows that access certain urls. On the initial button, the browser comes to the front of the .swf file just fine. Then I resume my movie and the browser moves to the back of the .swf. On the second button, the browser no longer moves to the front of the .swf but continues to run BEHIND it.

    Is there any actionscript I can use to make sure the browser window jumps to the front of the .swf file?

    (NOTE: this seems to work fine on macs but not on pc's)

    An swf is properly supposed to run embedded in an html page. On a CD, the main flash movie should be an exe file, and all other external loaded swf files can be swf. What your trying to do, requires the swf to be embedded in html so you can use javascript on the page to focus the popup html window.

    there is some flash button code you can try, that does not require the html javascript, but I don't know that it will work from a swf on a CD. You can try. Put this on the button, with the proper changes:

    on (release) {
    getURL("javascript:NewWindow=window.open('http://www.google.com','myWindow','width=300,height=200,left=400,top=200,toolbar=No,location=No,scrollbars=No,status=No,resizable=No,fullscreen=No'); NewWindow.focus(); void(0);");
    Make sure that in the actions window, the getURL line is all on one line. Don't change anything but the sizes and the left and top numbers and the url of the page to open. Also, you see a space here between java and script and after the dot in .com. Remove those spaces, the forum puts those in.
