    Sound

    Alright folks?

I couldnt find anywhere to post this but can any sound efficient people out there tel me the best way to get an old SoundBlaster Live Value card to get a close to 5.1 as possible. Ive got 5 speakers and a sub and im probably only gonna get a 4 channel setup but searching on google isnt getting me anywhere. Waiting for new card to arrive but wondering what i can do in the meantime?

delete all your drivers and download the latest driver/tools set from creative labs, just uncheck digital as your default. Makes my guest machine sound pretty good.

    cheers

should i just plug all speakers into the sub then plug the sub into sound card. May sound like a strange question but i remember seeing some diagrams somewhere with differnt speakers being plugged into different outputs on the soundcard.

your card should have a green and a black port, think the black is for the speakers and the green is a sub woofer but you'll probably have to mess with em.
