Is it possible to bring a movie clip in over top of another one and make the one on top have a transparent background?
-
Don't MCs naturally have transparent backgrounds???

Are asking can you bring a swf into the main file? Yes you can do that using the load movie command. The background is set as transparent automatic.
If your asking can a "movie clips" alpha value change the answer is also Yes. Regards, Bill

In the beginning the web was without shape and color, and the hype covered the darkness of the net. Then there was a Flash and life came to the web and vision became reality.

Hi Michel,
Can you please tell me, did you use seperate swf files to create this effect??
-
No this effect is caused by using multiple movieclips and a tell target.
If someone is interested just mail me and i'll send you an example.
By the way the credits for this effect go to Grandmaster Flash. He's the one that helped me with the effect. As you now i am just a newbie. Downloaded Flash4 just 2 weeks ago with the intension to make a website that was not visitors screensize restricted. I got irritated so much to advise people how the screensettings should be :-)
