    Regarding the size of the movie; it's standard practice to make the width just long enough, so it doesn't create a horizontal scroll bar? I was asking the question to confirm this practice.

    yup, it is nice if your viewer don't have to scroll in order the view the whole site(especially in flash).

    the default 550x400 in flash is best for viewer who have 640x480 monitor resolution.(when their browser have all the standard tool bar actived.ie, status, toolbar, location bar)

    actually, the viewable size of a 640x480 monitor resolution is some between 560-600(width) and 385-410(height).

    If your target viewer is board, do consider the different monitor resolution their have.
    And 550x395 is a good figure to start with.

    Thats why most people use the pop up. You have no idea what toolbrs will be open on each persons browser. Regards, Bill
