Anyone willing to give a crash course in XML?

Anyone willing to give a crash course in XML?

I'd like to start distributing news articles from NewsForNow.com ASAP.

Plus I'd also like to be able to organize things better and I've been told XML is the way to go.

Anyone available to give me some insight?

Well if you want to use the XML in flash (I assume that is why you are asking on FlashKit) then I have a tutorial on using Flash and Newsfeeds (rss).

If you just want to know about XML then xml.com is a great place to go.

    Thanks

I think you want to look at that URL, you can't have underscores in URL's and when you replace the underscores with hyphens then I get an error page saying the page doesn't exist.

    Thanks

Actually I only posted on flashkit because this is one of the forums I frequent.

I am looking to make the xml be extracted onto a page of PHP. Is that possible?

I'd also like it that the xml would be obtainable by other web sites so that they may use our news as well.

Sorry I didn't make this thread more specific.

The php web site has information about using there XML classes, although I haven't personally used them.

I find that xml.com is an excellent resource for getting up to speed on the different XML technologies.

    Thanks
