    need help with spinning image please

    i have a tiny logo that i want to have as a rotating image. kinda like how a quarter spins on a table. i want to place this spinning logo on top of an image. if someone could make it for me i would appreciate it. i tried with 3d flash animator but i couldn't get it to work. more than likely it was something that i was doing wrong. the image is here:

    if anyone could make that image spin like a quarter on a table i would greatly appreciate it. i don't want it to go too fast, but not too slow either. i want it maybe around 4 seconds long. also if you could give the image some depth as well, so it doesn't dissappear when it is viewed on it's side. thanks!

    you could off course fake it... squashing the image... this will give the idea of spinning and you can do it yourself in flash... The proble is you cannot texture objects in 3 d programms and then export them as swf, since flash cannot freely transform images...

    instead you would export some sort of image sequence (eg animated gif...)

    good luck,

    haha... I don't mean you need a gif animation programm... You just need a 3-D package that can export to a image sequence (basically any 3d programms...)

    ~4 second range. like this, where F is front and B is back. B would just be the same image. a few pixels thick to give it some depth.

    (F) -> (B) -> (F)

    don't want it too long, but i don't want it slow either. just long enough that people can see the logo. thanks.

    a good trick is to rotate it from right angles to the camera to right angles to the camera. that way you never see the back face. you notice it after a while but in general it promotes the brand more.

    Here's something I did in Xara 3d using default parameters, and exporting to gif. Took about 20 minutes.

    I also use Xara 3D for 3D text effects. It works great and you can export to Flash format too. It is also a cheap application.

    If you have access to a 3D application you can texture an object with your logo or image and then spin the object.

    I would definitely recommend SWIFT 3D.

    cool thanks for the input and the help. heh, the guy now wants it to bounce so that is what i have made it do. i will play around with some 3d software and see what i can learn. maybe later on my client will want the spinning logo rather than the bouncing one. thanks again.
