    linking/ finding out your folder

    Dear All,

    Im using flash mx

I am trying to make some flash navigation for my site, and I want to use this banner that no matter what folder you are in, it will take you to the right page.

I tried absolute addressing, but flash didnt like that, and I read in the help file I need a network connection or something.

is there any way for flash to detect what folder its in? or anything else like that which would help me script whether a button is index.htm or ../index.htm ?

    thanks for your time,

    James

yeah, so I ended up rearranging the directories so every page is one up from the root (../index/indexhtm , ../pages/profile.htm etc)

not the best fix, but it works.
