Has anyone got the kit to do this. I want to do some 3d work with fonts, but flax, etc only work with TTF. Is there anyone out there who can convert these or send me a converter. If you can send me a converter, send it to the address below.

    Best Regards

I have the same problem - Swift 3D for Mac only accepts TT Fonts . . . You can open fonts in Fontographer and resave them as either TT or PS fonts . . . sounds easy, but for some reason didn't work for me . . . converted fonts, used different names, put them in the System Folder/Fonts Folder and still no luck.

Anyone out there with an answer?

Thanks for your reply. I managed to get Fontmonger for PC. There does seem to be some free/shareware ones out there for Macs. If you search for font converter or convert fonts in http://www.dogpile.com you'll find them. Try these pages for a util.

Good luck - if you have no success let me know and I may be able to convert them for you, although I have not tried to convert to Mac fonts yet

when you drag a type 1 font into the windows font folder it will ask you if you want to convert it to TTF automatically.(Installing the font through ATM will not do this)

I think this only works with some fonts - not the ones I tried

    Microsoft says that:
"The copyright strings that third-party vendors embed within their fonts were never meant to be machine-readable. For this reason, the copyright strings in different fonts from the same vendor sometimes contain different punctuation marks, or extra space characters, and so on. Most of these variations are represented in the copyright string database, but they can sometimes cause the font converter to reject a font, even though the third-party vendor has given their permission to convert it.

In addition to the legal restrictions, there is a practical reason for not copying converted TrueType fonts to other platforms. Converted fonts are tuned to use features of the Windows NT TrueType rasterizer that don't exist on other platforms' TrueType rasterizers. So, using converted fonts on other platforms will produce poor results. This is not a bug, it is an incentive to avoid illegal font copying."
