    Multiple transitions issue...

I did some searching for a solution to this problem before posting, but really didn't find anything that was close to what I'm having a problem with.

Essentially, what I'm trying to do is have multiple symbols that appear at different times in the movie that start at 100%, then fade out to 0%. Each symbol is in it's own layer.

The process I use is to import the jpeg, convert it to a symbol, then apply the Fade out transition for 12 frames. This is no problem with the first image I do this to. However, when I do the second image, in a different layer, then try to apply the fade out, if I make the transition last any more than 20 frames, instead of fading, it "blinks."

Am I missing something somewhere here? Each symbol is named differently, and when I complete the first transition, I rename it as well.

    Thanks for the help.

Here's the flash file I'm working in...the first transition is the one in the top right, the second one added is in the bottom right and just not working the way I think it should for some reason I can't figure out.

In a brainstorm, I tried creating a new scene, and it works exactly the way I want it to...of course, for some reason, Flash decided to call the next scene "Scene 53" which puzzled me, but it works...

Likewise...I did save and compact it...the source file is too large to post...350k without compacting...but I did manage to figure it out...I'll post the URL when it's completed, though.

And the fla file (too large to upload):

What I'm wondering now is if there's a way to optimize it for dial-up connections...I tested it over dial up, and the "flash" frame opens and stays until the picture is loaded...I dropped the "quality" and changed the loading to "top down"...Is there anything else I can do to force the WHOLE thing to load before it runs, so when a dial-up user hits it, it runs smoothly?

This board does not support anything relating to warez.
