    hey all,
please test this new executable file for us, David Michie sent it to me this AM. I think that it has fixed the sloping text bug mentioned in this thread -
    http://www.flashkit.com/board/showth...threadid=53792

    THE LOCATION
    http://www.seriousdesign.com.au/swish/swishexe.zip
just right click on this link and 'save as' or 'save target as'.

    TO INSTALL
    1)Unzip to a temp folder.
2)Then copy to your swish program folder. Your system will ask if you wish to replace the current file of same name. Answer yes.

Then give it a go. Copy swathes of text and see if the left alignment is straight as an arrow.
Please post the results of your tests here on this thread.
    cheers,
    david p.

    ziggy,
from what I have seen from my tests, I'm happy to green light it now (if my opinion carries any weight).

    ziggy,
it's just a new exe file. And this is how I got it -
    (excerpt from David Michie's email)

Put it on the forum and let people test it for a few days.
Give them explicit instructions on how to replace the .exe file.

    David.

It's the genuine article, but I can understand if you don't put it on the mirror site, it's too confusing for the non-forum members, and I think I can handle the traffic for a few days.

Well one thing about posting it here. Your bound to get a response from users as opposed to people who will try it and not respond.

    great!

    works ok.
the bug I reported about a while back hasn't been fixed though. why is that? it's the bug that crashes the program when pressing ctrl+tab inside the textfield bar.

Thanks guys. Ziggy, I tried to D/L from your server but got an error saying that 4 bytes were missing in the zip file. I D/L from David P successfully. It could just be me, but you may wnat to take a look.

    mark,
if you want to fix a bug in swish 1.51 which makes big blocks of text have a sloping left margin, then yes you would be advised to grab the new exe, it fixes this problem.

Many thanks! I downloaded and replaced. Everything appears to be working fine...although I never noticed the bug...glad it won't be a probelm now.
