    Flash Player Question

In the un-likely event that a visitor to my Swish site does not have the Flash player installed, is there something already in the HTML Swish code that prompts the visitor to install the Flash player, or is there extra code that can be added to the HTML to install the Flash player automatically perhaps?

    hi,

no, you'll have to take care of this yourself. either use a flash sniffer, like moock fpi which is the best imho.

or, simpler, create a small swish movie with nothing but a "gotourl -> flashpage.html" action in the timeline and embed it in your index.html. then use a meta refresh to go to a nonflash.html after a few seconds in case the movie doesn't play.

Thanks very much, I'm having a look at MOOCK FPI. I don't know why something like this isn't default in Swish (just in case).

Don't think there is any fool proof browser/play indemendant way of doing it.
