Trying out a new vector style.

I've never done vector art before, and I liked this style, so I gave it a shot. Took, maybe, 5 hours. What do you guys think?

    maybe.

    nice! I really like it!
I love vector style artwork and cel-shading. I don't really understand how to use the pen tool for it so well though

Anyone got any nice tutorials on creating vector / cel-shading?

Also, what programs are best for making vector images? I have made them with Flash MX (worked out pretty nicely) and also in photoshop (seemed a little difficult, also made some cel-shading w/ it)

    again, nj No-Tec
any advice to help me gain some vector skills would be great thx

Wow yeah, these may come in handy in the future, thanks mate.

I don't reckon you can use tut's for abtract imaging, that's kinda cheating. Maybe to learn how to use the tools yeah, but. It's like "how to paint like rembrant" or "how to design like 2a".
I really SHOULD write a tut on making the pen tool.
    maybe.

I like the way it looks. It reminds me of the style direction heading towards the graffiti look that is being used everywhere lately.

The graffiti look is HUGE now. I like the feel of it.. (you know, the drips, and abstract yet very clean and crisp look). It's just funny that companies like "Comedy Central" use it, when at the same time if they had a nice big fat bubble letter on the side of their headqqaurters they'd hire a private investigator to find the person responsible to prosecute. have a nice day.

I really do need a tut on the pen tool for PS. .. I'll do a search after this. But I want to ask, have you tried the vector style with flash? So far that is easyest for me, seeing as how I can adjust it as I like easly. But then again .. I'm kind of a newb.
