    Looking for some Logo c&c

Hey everyone. Looking to get some c&c on this logo before I show the client.

Client's Request: They are looking for something that looks solid and foundational. They suggested the a wall, cornerstone, block, etc. They also requested that it be a simple design that would be printer freindly.

Let me know what you think. thanks.

First impression: the graphic mark looks excellent.

The typography however, I'm not too sure about that. I'm thinking you should use a sans-serif (perhaps Eurostile?). The layout seems good too, experiemt a bit though with positioning.

Personally I like the font. The only thing I would change is the alignment of the elements as indicated below. The original is on the left and the modified version is on the right. The box is only to indicate a boundary.

Better that than I spend who knows how long finding an exact match for my quick example. Overall though, I think his font matches the application well.

Nice looking logo, the only thing that bothers me is if you look to the right and left edges they look as if they are curving (optical illusion) apart from that I think its a good strong logo.

I noticed that, but am not sure exactly how to fix it, or if it should be fixed?

(BlueSamurai made me blind using his funky op art techniques) (j/k)

I cant see any reason why they wont be impressed by it, let us know how it turns out

I would stick with the serif font. It really works with the graphic form.

I would keep it the original width and alignment though, It gives a nice space and leaves breathing room around the graphic.
It must be obvious day at camp stupid

    Dumb illustrator question

I can for the life of me find it in the help file or book. But How do I convert my text to uh whatever its called so that I can scale it to any size without it screwing up on me?

Hi deselect the text then click on it using the black arrow tool it should look like the attatched pix

now click on one of the tiny white squares in a corner (hold down shift key) and drag, its the fastest way i know of scaling

if u have problems let us know

ok that did it. I didn't think I could do it that way for somereason.

Another question? How do I make my text so that it isn't text anymore. That way a printer can print the file even if they don't have the font? thanks again
