    Job postings on FK

"Unfortunately Flash Kit does not allow job postings in the forums here. I'm leaving the thread here so people can use the contact information to get in touch with you should they so desire, but it will have to be closed."

    What strange policy is that?
Or keep the thread open and leave for discussion or close the whole thing down.
    What do you think?

No one is going to disagree that it is strange. Well, someone might, but I don't know anyone that will. It's an official Flash Kit policy that has been in place for a while, but we're still working on nailing down the official policy for dealing with that official policy, if you will. Since few people do agree with the policy, we haven't been all that gung ho or organized in how we deal with jobs posted in the forums. Internet.com is pretty adamant regarding their policy though, so unfortunately until there is a new development all job threads are to be closed. Believe it or not we are actually doing everyone a favor by closing them and not deleting them altogether. The contact info can still be used by the members to get in touch with the client, at least.

Check out the thread below for a little more info on the subject.

"but i think the solution of linking to the offer on the extra page isn´t a bad one"

Seems better than leaving it open here IMO.

I understand the position of FK since they have a sister site www.dice.com dedicated to that, so its some sort of agreement, design in here, jobs at dice.

Exactly. Personally I think it would be nice if we could post freelance jobs here. Internet.com is pretty firm on the position of not letting people post them here, though.

True, I would'nt mind posting some freelance work either, or at least post some sort of info to help people reach us.

That's why we leave all the contact info intact and just close the threads.

Yep, I've seen that, and I think that helps people requesting or asking for jobs without bereaking the rules.
