    [Game] MJ-12 ( Kinda )

    Hi,

I know it's not like me to pimp my own games, but...

    http://www.miniclip.com/retro.htm

The first game for the miniclip retro week. I really don't know why it's been renamed and all the credits ripped out of it, but at least it's up.

Anyway have a quick blast with it, treat it as a warm up for MJ-12 xxl

    Great game Squize...as usual

I did notice one thing though, when the aliens start to move really fast (when they are almost at the bottom) the ship response is getting slowerl...it doesn't seem to fire over half of the times I press space bar...is it supposed to work like this?

    Thanks guys.

MTEV I don't think it becomes less responsive, I think it's just cause there are less baddies on screen so your bullet goes all the way to the top of the screen before you can shoot again.
It's weird, it changes the nature of the game a lot with less baddies, feels more like a duck shoot kinda game. It was fairly arcade accurate but I had to tone it down some 'cause it was too hard.

btw, http://www.g4mes.net/games.php?Mode=101&ID=11 is what it should look like. I'm really less than happy with the changes that miniclip have done.

np MTEV ( Although you did for a second worry me that a game I sold about 10 months ago had a nasty bug )

Thanks Blinky babe, and yep, me too.

I love all the sounds and the chaos (sp?) of your game squize, and especially the fact that i can shoot their bullets.

Have you seen todays game? That is really well done. Lots of stuff going on there

Ta mate, I do actually go to a lot of effort over the sfx, and it's nice to know that people notice them.

Can't play today's game, for some lame reason I can't get shockwave running in FireFox/Bird. I'll fire up IE *shudder* later and give it a bash.

Hi Squize, really excellant game. Well done.

One little tiny bug I have noticed, when some of the bad guys get low enough and hit the barricades to destroy them, your shot goes right through them, without destroying them. It seems to correct itself after they've dropped a few lines and you can shoot them again.

    Later,

    Mark.

Hmmm seems I've not got java set up correctly either. I'm sooo lame

Thanks Mark. I dunno if that bug is in the current version or just the miniclip one ( It's had a couple of minor tweaks since I sold it to them last Summer ).

Speaking of tweaks, I may as well pimp the xxl mix of it

On hold, and a difficult birth, but it is on it's way.

    Great.

I can kinda understand the renaming, being "retro week" and all they probably want that familarity of space invaders. But cutting out the credits is a bit rude.

    bush shootout

hey Squize-- just went to check out your game when I got side tracked by the bush shootout. Great game with terror-ific animation.only one problem: I kept aiming at the back of the guy's head but nothing would happen.
Oh well, guess I'll just have to try my hand at voting instead.

Just wondering how they could've taken out the credits. Do people usually provide them with the source when selling the game?

Thanks kgtrip ( Check out the rest of the Majestic trilogy over at www.g4mes.net if you like the retro stuff )

Kirill that was the first and last fla I gave over. Miniclip prefer the fla cause they can rebrand it themselves ( Even though I did put their logo in. If you look really quickly on the title screen you can see a little star animation, that played on a miniclip logo under the MJ-12 logo ) and put in their hi-score component.

    Squize.
