    Shape Morphing

    Hi everyone.

I'm trying to do a shape morph between one graphic and another but I'm not too sure how to do it.

I never realised I was so useless at flash. I'm self taught and have learnt more in the last few weeks than I knew in the last 4 years!

Anyone care to lend a hand?

    Thanks.

Do you mean how to morph a square into a circle? Or do you mean how to morph an actual image, i.e picture of cat, into another image, i.e. picture of dog?

yeah a picture into a picture.
I'm quite happy to do it with flash drawn images if i need to, but something more complicated than a square into a circle idealy.

you need to 'break apart' both the pictures. in frame 1 and 2. Then shape tween them Use shape hints.
i hope u know to shape tween and use shape hints? ...if not just get back..we are here

    actually...

well actually i understand the principle, but no I don't know how to shape tween. I don't know what shape hints are either.

I understand the break apart idea though.

modify > shape > Add Shape hints.

    in the first keyframe:

say u have a picture of a dog.

in second u have a pic of the cat

you want to have the nose of the dog turn into the tail of the cat.

in the first frame. add the shape hint. u will see a red A dot. place it to adjust on the nose.

on the second frame, u will see a green A dot movie it on the cats tail...shape twee...see what u get...

now add hints and adjust to your needs.
