sound loop on flash header in HTML site

I'm developing a hybrid HTML-flash, where each page has an flash head, the rest is static HTML. This flash component contains a sound loop (actually, 3 tracks), with the option of stopping all sounds. Problem is, when I go to another HTML page, the sound loads right up again. Rather annoying for those who would rather keep the sound off. Is there a way, without resorting to page frames, to keep the sound off when going to another page?

Here's the site. I haven't added the loading page to the sound clips so give a second or two to load:

    thanks....

ps...the first page is all flash, the rest of the site is HTML with flash headers.

Grrr. I know this can be done. I can't remember how to do it.

There's some way that Flash can store it's own little cookie on the client. Every time the header loads, you can tell it to read the cookie to see if it should play music or not.

I'll find out, and come back to this. Now I want to know how to do this.

Yeah you're right I did some reading on this but I have no clue on how to program cookies. For now I'll just use a frame (HTML frame, that is) with the music on the frame. Clunky, yes, but I need to do it tonite.

If you find any read-made copy and paste code, share it with us!!!

    Thanks
