empty screen on publishing site on web

    Hi !!

I´ve recently published a site and although 95% of visitors loaded the site without any problems a number of visitors just got the black background.

Could there be any other reason that they havn´t already loaded flash player?? Thanks in advance

Since 95% can view the site, I would say that those who can't see either don't have the Flash plug-in or are using a browser that doesn't support Flash. I know there are problems with Netscape 7.0 and Flash apps.

To troubleshoot, why not tell the people who can't view it to download the plug-in and see if that help.

    Hi geoff-d-l,

In addition.... some people have browswers that are simply not Flash enabled... although this is in the minority.

I wuldn't worry about it. 95% is not bad.

As JohnnyRexi suggested.... you could have an intro that explains that your site uses Flash and a link for them to go and get the Flash plugin .

    Blessings

    Thanks jwr,

I have done what you said, and that has defenatly helped in one case.
Just wanted to know if there could be any other known reasons for an empty screen.

    thanks and best regards
