Flash - Swish - Swift 3D, which one?

Ok, first off, I'm a newb.
I have done some work in flash for a few months now and I’m fumilure with it pretty well, but still have a long way to go.

I'm interested in doing some titling for my video editing software that I can import swf files.

Now I have come across Swish and Swift 3d and I don’t know which one I should be spending my time on learning. Is Swish a replacement for Flash? Can it do all the things Flash MX 2004 does? And how user friendly is it?

I know that Swift 3D express is a plug-in for Flash, but I don’t know if it will do what I’m looking for.

If you all can shed some light on this I would very much appreciate it.

    Thanks,
    Mark.

Never tried MX so I cant really compare it to Swish,
but I guess its like Photoshop vs. GIMP or Paint Shop Pro...
they do the same thing only comes with different price tags.

Swift 3D LW2 works great with Swish. But learning Swish first
seems like the way to go and then expand Your knowlage to Swift 3D.

If You are looking for cool text effects to add to Your vidoes I
guess Swish will do it with a breeze.

    But what do I know

    Hi marksd2167,

With regards to Flash and Swishmax -It is understood by what the Swish deveopers have said in the past -that with only a few exceptions Swishmax can do all that Flash can do.

The learning curve with Swish is much less than that of Flash.

    You'll enjoy Swishmax.

    Hope this helps.
