I am trying to recreate the "Ray of Light" tutorial. I am having trouble with my tween on the "F-Light" layer. Tweening the symbol (the letter F with a gradient light effect) from 0 alpha to 100 alpha doesn't work. The tween remains at 0 alpha until the very last frame until it suddenly jumps to 100 alpha. I did not experience this problem on the "F layer" tweening a letter's alpha minus the gradient light ray.

Recreate your tween. Place the image (graphic symbol) on frame 1 and extend the timeline by as many frames as necessary. Rightclick frame 1 and call a motion tween. Place a keyframe at the last frame of the timeline. Doubleclick the symbol on the stage with the timeline at the last frame and set alpha to 0. IT'S GOT TO WORK!
