    have mc act as a btn

    --code on first frame--

    function colorize() {
    the_Color = new Color("yourClip");<--instance name--
    the_Color.setRGB(0x000000);
    }

    --on some frame--
    colorize();

    Simple way:

    If you want to change the shape or add a graphic, for instance something to indicate that that button has been pressed:

    Make a two frame movie clip with 'stop' on each frame. Put your button on the first frame with the command:
    on (release) {
    gotoAndPlay(2);
    }
    On the second frame have your button and/or anything else.
    Cheers
    If it ain't broke - break it!
