I dont like it at all.

    - The main page has got that done by everybody look.
    - Its almost all html and thats very noticable when surfing through the pages. ( ugly build up)
    - It feels very slow.
    - I find the navigation very annoying.
    - there are no transitions.

    Just some personal thoughts

Um, no ... this site is pretty good and the navigation is simple although it is not intuitive. You can't complain that in one breath his main page looks like "everybody else's" then say a different kind of navigation that isn't like everyone else's is bad too.

My only complaint is that the animation could be crisper. Work on that and you have an impressive site for a HIGH SCHOOL or COLLEGE website.

    Keeping it in context.

I can say whatever i want because it is the feeling i had with it
Those shapes and feels are used to the max on the internet.

But villain2, i dont think we will ever both like or dislike the same site

I dunno about this one. What really annoys me is you load up the big opening section with the funky nav, and then get sent to these html pages. I hate that if I press my back button each time i have to go through the whole thing again.

For a personal portfolio site or something the style would be fine. But for a school? Doesn't feel professional as it should. The html pages themselves are actually not too bad, and could stand fine on their own, but that piece at the front, despite that it was well done with good flash/video work, it just doesn't feel appropriate. I feel like someone saw a 2a or similar site and was like "awesome, lets do that for our school site" without really considering if its the most appropriate style.

I honestly think if they scrapped that front flash bit and made a better navigation for the html it would be soo much better.
And maybe have someone redo the logo. Really not feeling the backwards K or tight cluttered feel of it.

It's a little buggy in places, but Full Sail has a pretty nice site.

Well, since no one is really adding many links to this thread, I can give you one that I finished a while ago. Hybrid/Flash nav. Have to update it later in the summer.

Maybe it'll give you some inspiration. Sorry, I can't really think of any outstanding high school/college sites.

I could go on for quite a while; it seems that many colleges have nice websites.
