did you resize that lettering(logo) in flash? Looks choppy, try resizing in fireworks or photoshop instead

yeah, i did. it has something to do with the way i saved the transparent gif.

ahh, looks much better now, but why transparent? couldnt you just save the lettering and background all as one piece? The overall layout looks pretty good, maybe give the whole movie a little outer glow or shadow or something? kinda set it apart from the background.

If it were one peice i would not be able to have the masking effect?

I have been considering, removing the background altogether, and having the swf as a popup right on top a new splash page.

hmm nah dont follow that trend...that menu could use another font, it looks too standart...the design overall is pretty elegant

I was thinking the same thing(about the font) that was kind of a temp solution. maybey the same font as the title?

Her work is very elegant, mostly glass flowers. she does make some pipes, so i will at the same time need to appeal to a younger audience.

she mentioned an urban style, but still wants to maintain elegance.


I dont want, to be trend whorey so if the majority says no on the popup, ill nix it.

yeah the same font should look nice, or a different one like a script like font

maybe you can request pictures of her work to include them in your artwork helping it (and you) achieve a little urban look

Hey tackle - nice site, very clean.

Have you thought about tinting the colour slightly? A little blue in there might give it a bit more warmth - although be careful which blue - don't want to go too clinical!

I agree with the whole background thing - might be worth trying the background knocked back a bit and then giving some visual seperation between the main flash and the background with a blur out or drop shadow.
