    buddy icon help

    hi

    my friend has designed us a buddy icon as a "swish" file, is there anyway for me to save that to my computer? please we need help!! haha

    is it online? if so, then you should be able to view the source of the page to find the location and save from there. If you don't know how to do that, post the link and I can walk you through it.

    my friend does....she sent me the file and i opened it in flash. shes not online right now for me get the link... if i open it in flash, why cant i save it to my comp? it wont let me have that option

    They were made to be 60x60 however when you open these they are quite large...and you can see some of the extra stuff that doesn't show up when I post them. Anyway there ya go

    Maybe they will work now. I took them off the boards that I had posted them on. and that STI.jpg wasn't it thats one of the possible avatars now I think.
    edit: damn I hate Geocities...is there anyplace else I can upload this kind of stuff?...If I don't have a website.

    geocities doesn't like direct linking to anything other than html pages.

    You can however, copy and paste the url into your browser window.

    Once you do that, select the file menu of your browser and choose "Save As..." to save it to your computer

    Interesting...but now what does this do? I already have it saved to my computer...but is there a way so that others can have it...or are you saying this is the way others could have it?
    So...I'm guessing it could never be an avatar?

    Anyone can do what I described. Clicking the link won't work, but copy/paste does work. This can become an avatar, provided you can bring the file size down (like I explained in the other thread). This may not give you nice colors as you are using a lot of colors and the animation is rather long. But it is possible.
