A strange encounter. Any solution to this?

I'm currently making an interactive flash interface for my portfolio, but however, I'm facing a very unusual problem.

I've created a movie clip with an alpha of 0 and yet, I can still see that movieclip which looks like the alpha is 10 instead of zero.
I've attached a copy of the SWF so you guys could roughly have an idea of what's happening.

Notice the profile buttons at the bottom of the SWF.

I've added a box with an alpha of 0 and yet it's still clearly visible.

Anyone could perhaps point me out to a solution?

    Thanks for your time,
    -Barc
