AIF vs. FK :: Convo Thread

I'm wondering if ya'll are up for a photoshop battle with us over at Australian Infront.

We've recently finished a battle with WOT and we're ready for another.

So basically I'm challenging a team of Flash Kitters to battle us infronters.

The battle we had in mind was a collaboration battle with a team of 16 each side.

example: Each team would have 8 pairs and the volley would be worked on by two people at a time then it would be up to the next pair from the opposing team to respond. this back and forth 16 times in total with a time frame of 2-3 days per volley and no use of filters.

Let me state a couple of things before it starts off... Flashkit is a G-Rated site. None of that porn inspired - even good porn mind you - stuff here.

Other than that, AIF... you guys are hella talented. No doubt.

But I think I'll sit this one out. Too much politics and bickering in the photoshop battle just seems even more petty than usual. Case in point... AIF vs. WOT discussion thread. **** got out of hand, imho.

Have fun finding people here that will battle you on behalf of FK.

I do suggest that somebody that's handled intercommunity battles before be the spokesperson/captain for this. I'll be watching, assisting where I can...

gerbick: dont say that man. its a new battle and its a new day. lessons have been learnt and there are new kids on the team. im sure most of us on AIF care less for smart-vulgar remarks this time round. we just want to play some good photoshop tennis. (the porn thing can really only be done once, we're sick of it)

I'd be in for another intercommunity battle. And the collaboration idea is very interesting. No filters ... no problem. 2-3 days with some consideration for the weekends? Sounds good to me.

i know you want a lot of people involved, but 16 per team is crazy. it will take too long, and eventually dry out towards the end anyway, i would suggest 10 per team TOPS. not trying to be negative, just giving some advice.

If I'm understanding correctly, there will only be 8 volleys per team, correct? Each volley is a collaboration of 2 team members. So it's almost like an 8 on 8 battle.

But I do agree with you skate342, 16 is a bit much. I don't even know if we could put together a team half that big at this time. Just a bit slow around here lately ... lots of vacations, travel, etc it seems.

16 per team is a little over board, but there are just so many eager designers on infront

well it seems that the replies are coming in and people are up for it. so tally it up to 16 on your side and we'll get this started. 8 volleys each, 2 peeps per volley, 2-3 days volley time (maybe more for weekend/work interruptions/or other things) and we'll work out the specs once you guys have a team capitano.

give it time. so far, the interest is going to be hard to gather due to most of the northern hemisphere being on summer vacations, travel... all the stuff clicky2 stated above.

give it time to see who's all interested. but the Arena here has been rather slow as of late for all of the aforementioned reasons.
