Photoshop blanket question: 2D to 3D

    I have a 2-D square design.

I want it to appear in place of this red, plaid blanket.

    How do I do it?

Start by tracing around the blanket with the pen tool, on another layer (photoshop should automaticaly add the new layer for you) Once you've completely traced around the blanket and closed the path, hold down control (windows) or what i think is alt or command (mac, i think) and select the layer with the pen object on it. Now, if you havent already, bring the square design in that you want to put over the blanket on a new layer, in between the picture and pentool layer. Select the layer with the square design in it, and hit delete .

That should get rid of any acsess object outside of the blanket, then all you need to do is get rid of the pentool layer .

Search the PS help files for 'displacement filter'.
