Seems to be a bitmap sequence ( or video ) , probably made in Adobe After Effects ( the color changes may have been done in Flash though ). There is also a After Effects like effect on the text on the splash screen.

allright does somebody have an idea how they fix this in AFTER effects ?

Hey,
Pellepiano is right, i used after effects for the sequence in the beginning and for the background. For the background i used a optics compensation filter, with a glow for the color change. And i exported it as a jpg sequence.

wow great, and how did you fix the loading bar flying away ?

It's a ripple filter, with some gaussian blur.

Can I ask you why you exported as a jpg sequence and not an SWF or QT? I'm trying to work with AE and Flash, but the file sizes are HUGE!
Thanks a bunch

The advantage of image sequences is that is compatible with older versions of Flash. Playing video in Flash is relatively new, it came with MX ( Flash can not play QT or any other format but its own though, so a QT movie has to be converted to swf first ).

Thanks pellepiano -
Could you (or anyone here) point me in the direction of some good AE with Flash resources. I have strong AE experience, but integrating with Flash is tough (mainly figuring out what I can do that will give a decent file size). My last 1.5 second clip started at 3mb!
Thanks for the time.

Flash Kit is the biggest resource for Tutorials and example movies.
A search on Google will give you plenty of forums and tutorials for After Effects. And the combination with Flash...

The framerate is of course important. Perhaps you can use less bitmaps and still get the right motion on your graphics.
