Burning a cd that plays audio and data

    Hiya

Dont know if im doing this post in the right area so im sorry if its not.

I need to make a cd that plays audio in normal CD players and when inserted in a computer it plays an exe.

I used nero and created a mixed mode cd. My music tracks are the continuos type so i needed to remove the gap between tracks, which i selected in nero

Problem is i'm still getting a delay when the tracks change. Its only a second or so but its enough to make the cd sound ****.

Can anyone tell me why this is? is there a way of fixing it? should i used particular software?

    please help!

    thank you

    nero

I Think i know your problem

    Track1 has a gap/music/gap
    Track2 has a gap/music/gap

when you use nero mixer to close the gap(silent part) you need to overlap them so the silent gap from the next song starts while the song is still playing...lol trying my best to help u understand

    T1___gap/music/gap
    T2________gap/music/gap
    T3_____________gap/music/gap
    T4__________________gap/music/gap

if you want better results use nero audio editor avail in 6.3 and remove the silent gaps in the audio and save as mp3/wav/ogg/mp4/....

Well if u mean that there are gaps in the actual music files...i've checked this and there aint any gaps what so ever. If i play them using winamp etc its continuous...but as soon as i burn it the dam thing leaves a second gap

    ok i understand

Compile the audio files for the Mixed Mode CD using Drag&Drop editing by simply clicking on the required files in the File Browser and dragging them into the audio area of the compilation window. This area is in the lower section of the compilation window and includes columns headed 'Track', 'Title', 'Duration' and 'Pause'.

in the column headed pause Does it have 00:002:00

If so choose a track, right mouse click select properties

    you then have track properties

    see the pause 2

make the value in the pause 0 (zero)

same again for the rest of the tracks

    should do the trick
