Since you have made many games already, why don't you show a couple of them? By showing some of your previous work people can get an idea of your skill level, which people often feel they need to know before starting a collaboration with someone (at least I do).
I would strongly suggest not to make a RPG game, you will almost certainly never finish it (very few do, trust me).
If you REALLY want to make an RPG, I suggest RPG Maker 2000, or another one of these Game Makers - This site if full of them. I used it years ago to make an RPG (I was 13) and it is extremely easy to use, and will take no time at all to learn. There are graphics, music, sounds, everything you need, as well as a tile editor and a really easy "push-button" programming interface, so all you need is an idea and away you can go. Don't get into Flash with a group that knows nothing - you'd end up doing all of the work. Besides, Gaming World has a forum to help you with RPG maker problems too.
Wow. How long has it been since I last posted?? This feels wierd... well... I will post again, but until then, good day everyone
If you really want to make a game here is what I suggest:
1) Get some wood and a saw
2) Cut out 5 X shaped pieces
3) Cut out 5 O shaped pieces
4) Cut out a piece shaped such as this: '#', big enough to hold the X's and O's in each of the partitions.
5) Enjoy!
Seriously though it seems like you have no desire to learn to make games. I think you're just baiting all of us. Please, prove me wrong.
Guys, why not just let this pointless thread just disappear now ?
Nothing productive is going to come out of it, and it's pointless it just floating around near the top of the board so everyone can jump in and bait the company prez, opps sorry, Joopson.
Joopson you've had a load of advice here mate, such as having a look at the read me sticky. I dont' think you're going to get much more out of it. Oh aside from this little tip, the word please goes a hell of a long way too.
oh here is one of my random movement games
(their bad)))))! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!
Sorry guys to keep this thread alive still, but I just want to say one thing....
Hey Trickman,
I am definitely not siding with Joopson, I agree with everyone else. However, I have one major thing to point out in your post. I am 14, and I have been a member of these forums for close to a year. I am not, by far, the most experienced or best Actionscripter. But I do know a good bit about it. I have created several games (most of which are semi-completed, granted), and several test apps that use fairly advanced code. All I would like to point out is that: Joopson is not a good example of what all 14 year olds are like, so please don't jump to conclusions about what a younger kid can do....
Thanks,
Dave
