    It's metadata based. The files are indexed on the fly. Something similar is planned for Longhorn ... one of the big features actually ... not XP.

    And try to search like this in XP: "The Photoshop file I saved yesterday, containing some text including the names Groote and Gates"

    Damn! Just watching the conference, the Nvidia card has dual dual-DVI ports, so you can connect two 30" displays to that card, that's a total of 8.2 Million pixels coming out of that card!

    Need a new client project to finance them ... anyone wanna help me

    The new search technology is

    Watch the conference stream at about 40 to 60 minutes ... you really have to see it! It's that amazing, especially the speed and integration of it.

    At about 70 minutes ... looks like they want to kill Photoshop.

    Oh, and Gerbick, I'm sure you will use the automater. (At about 80 mins)

    so what kinda of video card exactly is need to run this beast? anything vid card that has 2 dvi ports? or 2 videos cards running parallel?

    yeah and how bout that new ichat....4 person vid conference and i love the way it sets up when ppl join....kinds like a theatre...and 10 person audio conference

    Apple has gone mad....lets see what kind of damage i can do with this student discount

    it's a little bit more than that subby. it's dual dvi card that basically runs both DVI outputs in parellel to create one desktop, not dupe and extend the signal like dual desktops. it's not SLI either.
