Help! I want my logo to be usable!

I'm re-working a logo and was wondering about file types and such. I haven't found much on it, but it seems I should save as a .eps file in small, medium, and large versions, in both color and greyscale versions. Then I can convert one to jpg/gif or whatever depending on what it's for (Web, fax, etc...) Is there anything else I need to pay attention to? And what specific sizes should I save it as, how big and how small?

*.eps as in the Swift 3D file? Maybe you should save it as a *.swf file.

    .eps as in Reference
It's a static logo. not animated or anything, and eps is good because it's vector(scalable).

I can't seem to find anything on idustry standards regarding quality logos.

And you can't just save it as a high quality JPG?

.eps is standard as it is a vector format. Because of that you should not have to save it in several sizes, but resize as necisary. If you create a logo, .eps will keep it both scalable and editable. .jpg offers neither of those.

Programs to create logos in should be static vector such as Illustrator or Freehand. Photoshop is pixel based and should not be used except to modify for web/media use.
It must be obvious day at camp stupid
