Thinking Caps - Need some suggestions ..

I've posted my new redesigned family website www.rjbeals.com in the "site check" thread, so some of you may have seen it already.

The buttons open a swf into layer 1, the slideshow opens in layer 2, and the updates open in layer 3. When new button is pressed, it just replaces layer 1 with the new swf file (simple)..

My problem is this - When I click the "Opeth" button, I want the slideshow (layer 2) to unload, and a photo of me and the singer to appear in its place. Then when I click a different button, I want the slide show to come back... (confusing maybe?)

The way it is now, I have the "unload movie" in the first frame of the opeth swf. Then, when I click a button, its gone forever, and I dont want to "Load Movie" whenever I click a button..

Suggestions ?

Why dont you place that pic you want to come up in the same movie as the slide show but out of the loop. Then tell it to go to the pic when you want and to resume the slideshow loop when you don't want.
